BlackLite Social Club's mission is to serve underserved communities, extend guidance for marginalized individuals, produce events for entrepreneurs, and provide safe spaces for BIPOC. BlackLite is committed to its members by supporting their businesses and creating opportunities for members to showcase their expertise. We value people and their livelihood, the well-being of Chicago communities, and the right for humans to express their visions.

Serving the Chicagoland area by providing production resources for creators and businesses. BlackLite volunteers their time to mentor undeserved and marginalized individuals.

Who's who on the Blacklite team

Mondisa
CEO and Founder

She is a Chicagoland actress represented by Lilys Talent Agency. Mondisa received her Bachelor's degree in Musical Theatre Performance in 2014 from Columbia College Chicago. She continues her education year around by attending acting classes at Second City and Chicago Actors Studio. Mondisa has dedicated her life to helping her community, traveling the world, and furthering her career in acting. Mondisa is beyond thrilled to be leading the BlackLite Missions team in making dreams come true!

Jyreika Guest
Board President

Actress, intimacy director and coordinator for theatre and television. She serves as an advocate and consultant for area theatres with missions to cultivate equitable spaces for actors, artists, and designers. Jyreika is a poet and teaching artist in poetry with self-produced film projects centered around poetry, rhythmic storytelling, and self-empowerment. She is now exhilarated to continue working in a creative space leading the BlackLite board in Missions!

TaShona Griffin
Board Vice President

Ms. Griffin received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University in 2006 and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2014. Ms. Griffin has been dedicated to serving her community since her Senior year of high school and serving others is still a passion of hers. In 2011, Ms. Griffin became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc where she has continued being involved in the betterment of her community. She was a Juvenile Detention Officer for approximately four years and is currently a Probation Officer where she has worked for the last eight years aiding individuals in their reform. She looks forward to being an active member in BlackLite where she can focus on the mission to serve "marginalized communities, extend guidance for underprivileged individuals, produce events for entrepreneurs, and provide safe spaces for BIPOC.

Kristal Smith
Board Treasurer

has served as a high school social worker for 10 plus years. She is from the suburbs of Chicago, IL and received her Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University and Master of Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago. She enjoys spending time with her children, watching movies, and engaging in conversations and work around issues of social and racial justice. She is excited to serve on the board of Blacklite SC LLC.

Charlitha Charleston
Board Secretary

is a Chicagoland performer who works with various ensembles throughout the city and is a resident spiritual advisor. Charlitha works in finance and event planning, and when she is not out and about she enjoys time at home with her family. Charlitha looks forward to making people's dreams come true through BlackLite!

Keith Illidge
Board Recruiter

graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul University in 2018 with an MFA Acting major. Keith is originally from Bear, Delaware. He loves to perform on stage, sing, write poetry or lyrics to songs. He’s very excited to be working with the extraordinary team of BlackLite!

Matthew Lolar
Board Recruiter

graduated from DePaul University in 2018 with a BFA in Theatre. Matthew is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota. He loves acting, singing, dancing and working within the community. He is excited to join and work on the team of BlackLite!

William A. Sebastian Rose III
Senior Honoree Board Member

is a Chicago based performer and office administrator for the University of Illinois extension office. He is a two time Black Theatre Awards Alliance Nominee most recently featured as Lyons in The American Blues Theater Production Fences and King Henry Christophe in The House Theater of Chicago's production of The Tragedy of King Christophe. You can also see him now in the Chicago Maritime Museum historic exhibit as The Founder of Chicago Jean Baptiste Point du Sable. Building and solidifying our community by bringing out the stories of our history and helping others to achieve their goals is what drives William. The opportunity to give to others the support and enrich men that are not always able to find readily at hand are what excites him most about this venture and he is thrilled at the chance to give that back! Korey White
Honoree Board Member

works for @properties Real Estate as a Product Coordinator. Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Korey went to Robert Morris University where he got his BA in Communication with a concentration in Theatre. He’s been a resident of Chicago for the past 8 years and is happy to have made the move. When not working, he can typically be found on stage or immersed in a world of fantasy. He is ready and excited to help BlackLite LLC change the world!

Cynthia Hindmon
Honoree Board Member

graduated From Columbia College Chicago in 2021 with a BA in Musical Theatre Performance and a minor in Black World Studies. Cynthia is originally from Merrillville, Indiana. She loves singing, making music, acting and studying history in general and she is excited to work on the BlackLite team!

NaVada Reed
Honoree Board Member

is a Chicago based theatre professional. NaVada loves reading, coffee, and traveling. She hopes to one day create a space where people can experience the influence art has and how it can change the world. NaVada is ecstatic top join the BlackLite team!
